“Everyone is done-geon”

Films: Castle Freak (2020)

Alias: The Castle Freak, the cultists

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral (Freak), Evil (the rest)

Summary: In 1995, we bore witness to a rather loose adaptation of one of H.P. Lovecraft's less cosmic horror-related works. Now, we see that story again...only, there's a catch. The cosmic horror is back, and it will only make things so much messier than when it was just some deformed cannibal in a castle.

History: Recently, Rebecca Whateley has been offered her ancestral castle in Albania by her mother as compensation for both her being blinded in a car accident and the fact that said mom abandoned her at a young age. There are a few problems here. One is that Rebecca's friends want to sell the place. Another is that she has a horrifically malformed and savage sister that isn't in her dungeon anymore. And finally, there's a goddamn cult there that worships the dreaded Outer God Yog-Sothoth. Soon, everyone's being picked off by one or both of those last two problems.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After everyone dies, Rebecca gives in and allows herself to merge with her sister. This somehow allows Yog-Sothoth to be reborn through her. Elsewhere, a new cultist comes to a peculiar scientist. Said scientist is known as Herbert West...

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Once again, the castle freak roaming this estate is as ugly and vicious as you can imagine. And this time, she's almost actively malicious at times. To say nothing of the deranged cult dedicated to one of the worst eldritch abominations out there. The cult leader in particular looks just plain wrong with him missing half his head.

Trivia: -While this adaptation does have elements of "The Outsider", there are more elements in it from "The Dunwich Horror".

-Yog-Sothoth, the Key and the Gate, is considered to be one of the most powerful Outer Gods out there, to the point where some see it as the greatest of them all. Like in this film, it can only be summoned through rituals and rape. Also, the closest thing it has to a physical form is a series of spheres, for no one could grasp what it really looks like. Whether Yog-Sothoth is truly evil or not is up in the air. Sometimes, the being is just one almighty idiot.
